A GREAT EXAMPLE OF ONE OF OUR PRIVATE HOLIDAYS
6 Nights in 2 different locations in Mallorca
This trip is an extension to the luxury long weekend break that we offer our private guests. It creates a luxury cycling tour for those wanting to explore the island a little bit more. It is the perfect way to combine a bit of cycling and have a relaxing holiday.
Using the finest local ingredients, we have created the perfect recipe for a luxury road biking holiday. The raw ingredients include wonderful hotels; hair pin bends, sweeping descents & challenging climbs along the quiet Mallorcan mountain roads; warm spring & autumns seasons and regular connections in & out of Palma airport.
Fully supported rides with personal touches and local knowledge will allow you to enjoy an active holiday whilst appreciating the island’s culture. This is most definitely a holiday not a training camp. You stay in two locations, for the first two nights we are in Port de Pollensa, before cycling through the Tramuntana mountains to Port de Soller for the rest of the holiday.
Each day we leave the hotel between 8:30-9am and return by 2:45-3:30pm. Each ride features at least 2 climbs. We schedule one food stop in a cafe and one top up from the vehicle. We return by 2:45pm and you are then free to explore on your own. We can organise dinner in local restaurants or leave you free to explore.
Your hotel & meals
Your base for the first two nights is a 4 star hotel in Port de Pollensa, overlooking the bay of Pollensa. With a view of the Tramuntana mountains as they meet the sea, the most northerly point of Mallorca – Cap de Formentor, long sandy beach and the mountain of La Victoria in the background it is a wonderful spot to start your holiday from. Minutes walk from the marina and the town, this area is the hub of cycling on the island and home to many of the professional cycling teams such as Team Sky.
For the last 4 nights your home is the scenic natural harbour of Port de Soller. With its fish restaurants, cafes, sandy beach and friendly atmosphere it has been described as the ideal backdrop to an Agatha Christie novel. The hotel transmits elegance, simplicity, quality and fun. Originally built in 1954, the hotel was refurbished by Swedish owners Mikael & Johanna Landstrom in 2006. It is situated on the waters edge of the natural harbour of Port de Soller in the Tramuntana mountains.

Mid afternoon we go for a short unsupported spin out, the distance depends on everyone’s arrival time. This short ride (20-40km) from the port towards Cap Formentor is a wonderful insight of what is to come. It provides the guests with an early opportunity to test their legs on a couple of short 3km climbs and admire the views back across the Bay of Pollensa.

Today includes the climb up to Lluc and the descent from Puig Major into the Soller valley. On your arrival, about 2:45pm, we check into the hotel and you can enjoy a 3 course meal in the bistro whenever you fancy during the afternoon.
